Michal's story was particularly heartbreaking, and I felt like I was reading it through her eyes for the first time. ![]() The author has a gift for taking stories I've heard my entire life, stories that focused on the male characters, and pulling out the woman's narrative. My first impression reading this book was that women were really poorly treated in biblical times. The stories and bible teachings brought up too much emotion and questions. This book, although only 150 pages, required some rumination. ![]() You'll notice my read time was a little bit longer than normal. This book is quite a switch, inspirational Christian non-fiction. My usual favorite reads are YA and MG novels. ![]()
